Meet Your therapist
I have always been passionate about helping people. I graduated from The College of William and Mary with a degree in Psychology and received my Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2011. I incorporate these two fields to treat each person as a whole. This is why I came up with Body and Soul therapy.
Pain and dysfunction can have various causes. I never treat just a body part. I look at the big picture when treating my clients and utilize various techniques on multiple problem areas to produce effective and immediate results.
I absolutely adore the elderly population and love working with this age group. I am determined to prove that aging does not equal pain or dysfunction and that there is always room for improvement in quality of life.

I am especially interested in complex cases. If you have had issues for many years and nothing has really helped, I would love to do an assessment and figure out what might be missing.

I am highly motivated and results oriented. I treat every patient with the same level of care and concern as I would for my friends and family. Your maximum healing and satisfaction with your care are my utmost priorities.

I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran but have been calling Virginia home since 1995. I am fluent in Farsi and can get by in Spanish. I am obsessed with dogs! I enjoy gardening, cooking, hosting friends and family, dancing, listening to international music, hiking, traveling, canoeing, yoga, and doing DIY projects around the house.

I perform this technique in a way that is minimally uncomfortable. It is great for chronic pain, and any muscle pain in the hips, shoulders, neck, jaw, hands and feet. This technique is also highly effective in treating chronic headaches and often can eliminate ringing in the ear.
I am trained in the John Barnes method of myofascial release. It is a painless technique used to address various types of chronic pain. This technique is especially helpful for people who have significant stress or anxiety currently or at some point in their past. Stressful or traumatic psychological experiences can often lead to physical pain.
Gait and balance dysfunctions can be caused by neurological issues, muscle weakness or tightness, and joint stiffness.
